Fostering climate connections in Lisbon

More people are concerned about the impacts of climate change, but also increasingly face inertia, uncertainty and anxiety around what can be done or where to start.

‍We believe that fostering a community, whereby anyone is able to find like-minded people, can alleviate this struggle and be a key driver for citizen climate action.

We have also observed the different actors involved and interested in climate change - researchers, activists, tech people, public policy makers, corporate employees, NGO
workers, among others - who interact within their own networks but are isolated from the broader climate community.

We think that this is partly because there is usually not a consolidated and dedicated local space for people involved in the climate space to come together and network. Cross-collaboration across people and sectors is key for driving change, and our community helps to bring all these different actors together.
